LATE TELEGRAMS
LAND FOR SETTLEMENT. (per press association.) Wellington, This Day. A portion ot Tablelands Estate, situated in the Wairarapa, has been divided into ordinary farms and named after the Maori chief Mahupuka. The adjoining estate and Hikawera is also to be sub-divided and the work ot sub-divi-sion into dairy farms has been carried out on the Tawhoa Estate. The subdivision of Hawkey Estate, Johnsonville, and Heretauuga, Oldworthy and Wilford Estates, at the Hutt Valley, is proceeding. DAMAGE TO THE EXHIBITION BUILDINGS. Christchurch, This Day. The damage to the exhibition buildings by the recent gale is estimated at £709.
