A meeting of the members of the hoard was held on Wednesday even ing, Mr J. Christie presiding. JJMr C. C. Ellis, who intends leaving Cambridge a month hence, tendered his resignation as president, a position which he has occupied since the inauguration of the branch, four or five years ago. Mr Ellis reviewed the work that has been accomplished, and said it had amply justified the existence of the branch. He trusted the work would go on and prosper. —The resignation was accepted with expressions of regret, and a resolution passed thanking Mr and Mrs Ellis for their devoted service and help, and wishing them God speed. Mr J. Christie, senior vice-presi-dent, will (ill the position until the end of the year. An interim balance-sheet was presented, showing a deficit of about £9. Mr Cliflin, general secretary, submitted a verbal repurt of the past season's activities, which showed that excellent work has been done. A revised tariff for the use of the association's rooms was drawn up and approved. Jt was decided to call a meeting of those interested in the formation of i tennis club, Messrs Calvert, Priestey and Shepherd being deputed to epresent the board's interests.
