SALE OF LAND

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company today offered the Pencarrow Estate at Tamahere, which has been cut up into nine sections. As is usual at auctions, bidding was not very spirited, there being a reluctance to bid openly at auction, but two of the sections were disposed of—viz., Section 2, 61 acres, £3O, and Section 5, 78 acres, £33. After the sale there was a good enquiry for the various sections of this fine estate, and no difficulty is anticipated in placing them at the prices fixed. At the same sale Messrs McKay Bros.' Waitetuna property of 218 acres was put up, and sold at the satisfactory figure of £1065.
