BIG THEFT OF RINGS

VALUED AT £IOOO. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Christchurch, Friday. The premises of F. W. Tucker, jeweller, of High street were broken into on Wednesday night, and rings to the value of Jt'looo abstracted. Mr Tucker left the premises securely locked up at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and when he arrived at 8.30 a.m. yesterday he found that every ring in the window had gone, whilst every other article of jewellery had been left untouched. Even the safe, containing a considerable amount of cash, had not been tampered with. It was by means of the skylight that the thief is presumed to have entered the shop. This skylight has remained open ever since Mr Tucker took possession of the shop, but the aperture is small and would allow only a very small person to wriggle through. Christchurch, Saturday. Two men, who were arrested yesterday on charges of vagrancy, will be charged with the burglary at Tucker's jewellery shop on Wednesday.
