NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' UNION
TUHIKARAMEA BRANCH. A meeting of the above was held in the hall on April 8, when they were a good attendance considering the weathei. Sixteen new members were proposed. Mr J. J. Ryburn, president, gave an interesting account of the visit to the Experimental Farm by members of the branch, and proposed that the secretary write on behalf of the members thanking Mr and Mrs McConnell for their hospitality. The president was appointed delegate to represent the branch at the Provincial Conference. Messrs Ewen McGregor, Cooper and Milne addiessed the meeting on the proposed new freezing works in Waikato, all the speakers being firmly convinced that the time had arrived for Waikato to have freezing works of their own. A good number of shares were taken up in the room after the meeting. The above gentlemen were accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their interesting addresses.
