BOARD OF EDUCATION
By Telegraph.—Special to Argus. Auckland, Wednesday. At the meeting of the Board of Education today the tender of G. H. James at £BO7 was accepted for enlargements to the Te Kuiti School. The following appointments were made:—Mr F. McGrath, head teacher, Mangapeehi; Miss A. M. McDonogh, assistant, Hamilton West. A request for a marquee for the Ngongotaha school was declined. The Eureka School Committee was granted £2 10s for stove piping. The architect was empowered te act in the matter of tarring and sanding at the Frankton School. The Hamilton West Committee was authorised to dispose of the shed erected at the Oddfel'ows' Hall. Interior paintirg of the Kio Kio School was authorised, and the improvements of the outbuildings was referred to the architect with power to act. Renewed application is to be made to the Minister of Education for a grant for the erection of a new residence at Ngaruawahia. Messrs Auld, Banks and Edgecumbe are to report re a site for the Te Akatea School. An estimate is to be obtained for sinking a well at the Ohaupo School. The constitution of a school district a} Honikiwi was sanctioned, and the boundaries of the Tauwhaie, Matangi and Tamahere districts were fixed as recommended.
