THE HOTEL EMPLOYEES' FEDERATION.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, This Day. The fourth annual conference of delegates to the Hotel Employees’ Federation opened today. Mr T, Long was elected president, and Mr E. J. Carey secretary. It was decided to ask the Minister for Labour to meet a deputation which would urge the furtherance of a six days a week bill, and also to ask the Grey candidate for support in securing the passage of the bill. The financial statementjshowed the assets at £2OO. There are now over 4000 organised workers in the federation. The matter of the six days a week bill is under consideration.
