MR LLOYD GEORGE’S CAMPAIGN 4 MANDATE FROM PARLIAMENT. FARM LABOURERS’ CONDITIONS. London, February 3. The Daily News states that Mi Lloyd-George commences a platfom campaign for land reform in March, He will seek a mandate in the next Parliament to secure for the agricultural labourer a wage of £1 a week, and, if necessary, to pass a law enforcing the payment of such a wage. Secondly, Mr Lloyd-Geroge proposes that a farm labourer shall be enabled to rent a cottage and an allotment independently of working for an employer. Mr Lloyd-George proposes that farming should be placed on a scientific basis, with co operative credit for buying and selling. He also suggests reforms in the rating of large suburban properties.
