i Shot to Kill Milwaukee, November 18. Schrenk, the man who fired a revolver at ex-President Roosevelt, has pleaded guilty to the crime. A commission has been appointed to examine birn to see if he is sane or not. Schrenk, in his statement, says that he shot Roosevelt because he was a menace to the country, and should not have a third term. He shot him as a warning to othurs of a like mind. “1 shot Theodore Roosevelt to kill him. I think ail r- n trying to keep themselves in office Giould be killed. They became danp ions,” concluded Schrenk.

Mackenzie, High Commissioner for |New Zealand, inspected the immigrants and addressed them. Schooner Adrift Paris, November 12. At Dunkirk tha schooner Casimir Perrier broke adrift and sank fifteen fishing sloops. The loss of life is unknown.
