AMUSEMENTS

“THE STRANGE ADVENTURES OF MISS BROWN.”

“Miss Brown” will commence her strange adventures in the Hamilton Town Hall this evening, and judging by the interest that is being taken in the production a full house is assured. The trials of Angela Brightwell, and her newly-made husband, Captain Courtenay, will be followed with interest, and two entirely new interior scenes give a bright appearance to the old stage. The second act is the prettiest interior setting yet seen in Hamilton. As its name implies the comedy is rich in fun, and we can confidently advise all to see the production. The proceeds are in aid of the local institutions and popular prices are being charged. There are a few good seats available on the box plan, but immediate booking is advised. The plan is at Paul’s Book Arcade. THE KING’S. At the King’s Theatre tomorrow evening, the record star production “Foul Play,” a dramatisation of Charles Reade’s stirring novel, by the famous Edison Company, will he shown for the first time. It carries the audience from one hemi-

sphere to the other, and the scenes include shipboard incidents, an island romance,a shipwreck and tales of villainy in a quiet part ol England, and in the great metropolis. No book could be better fitted for pictorial presentation. Mr Alf. Boothman, the well-known actor-elocu-tionist, accompanies the film to Hamilton, and will supply an interesting incidental narrative.
