Adelaide, November 11. Warner’s English team resumed play in their first innings against South Australia this afternoon. The weather was pleasant, and the wicket was perfect. The not out men, Warner and Foster, carried the score from 331 to 452, and then Warner retiredfive wickets for 152. The English captain had 150 runs to his credit, and had played a careful innings, which lasted fur 297 minutes, and he gave only one chance. Foster, in his partnership with Warner, had increased his overnight score of 34 to 111/ His century was hoisted as the result of 107 minutes’ play, during which he had the benefit of four chances. The score was unaltered when Crawford was run out trying to steal a run. Hill, butting steadily, and Down played out time.
