The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report : RANGIRIRI SALE. At Rangiriri on Wednesday, 25th inst., we yarded 600 head of cr»tt)e of all classes. There was a large attendance of buyers from Upper and Lower Waikato, Good competition ruled throughout and all lines changed owners at most satisfactory prices. Three and a half year old steers in forward conditon made £5 10s to £6 7a; 3 year old steers, £4 19s to £5 ss; 2* year old steers, £3 183 to £4 10s; 20 months to 2 year old steers, £3 7s 6d to £3 13s; yearling steers, £2 3s 6d to £2 8s; mixed yearlings, £1 14s 6d to £2 2s; 2 year old empty 3airy heifers, £2 15s to £3 ss; fat cows, £4 10s to £5; empty cows in fresh condition, £3 to £3 13s; store cows, £2 to £2 12s; dairy cows, close to profit, £6 to £8 10s; backward and aged cows, £3 15s to £4 10s; springing heifers, £4 15s to £5 15s; backward heifers, £3 12s 6d to £4 ss.
The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report :-r HAMILTON SALE. At Hamilton yesterday we held our usual stock ?a'p and yarded 1328 sheep, 705 heaa of cattle and 94 pigs. There was a large attendance and prices were fairly good. Fat wethers made 16s to 17s 6d; fat ewes, 12b to 13s 3d; forward wethers, 13s 9d to 13s lid; good hoggets, lis to 12s 6d; smaller sorts, 7s 6d to 9s 9d; weaner pigs, 9s to 15s; slips, 18s to 225; porkers, 25s to 335; sows, 4£ guineas; fat steers, £7 to £8 15s; fat cows, £5 to £6; small fat heifers, £4 to £4 ss; 2 year old steers, £3 15s to £4 4s; 2J year steers, £4 13s to £5 2s 6d: 18 months old steers, £2 17s 6d to £3 ss; good yearling steers, £2 2s to £2 7s; mixed yearling*), £1 16s to £2; smaller sorts, £1 7s 6d to £1 12s 6d. A large entry of dairy cows met a ready also for anything close to profit. Choice heifers sold at from £7 to £8 2s 6d; good heifers, £5 15s to £6 10s; more backward sorts, £4 10s to £5; good cows, £7 to £8 15s; more backward sorts, £4 10s to £5 ss; good tip drays, £lO and £ll 15s; old dray, £3 10s; draught gelding, £3l. AUCKLAND MARKETS. By Telegraph.—Special to Argus. Auckland, This Day. Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report:—At Remuera yesterday all classes were well represented but prices were easier. Dairy cows and heifers sold from £2 to £8 10s; dry, 30s to £4. Stores were not all sold, but two pens realised £6 2s 6d. Young fat calves ranged from 2s to 48s. There was an average of choice fats yarded, but last week's prices were barely sustained. Steers made £5 to £lO 7s 6d and cows, £4 to £7 12s 6d. Sheep: Those penned were of good quality and prices for down grades were higher, extra heavy wethers, 20s to 24s 6d; lighter, 18s; heavy ewes, 17s 6d; others, 15s; spring lambs, 12s to 19s. Pigs sold freely, small 7s to 12s; slips, 18s; porkers, 38s (id. No heavies were penned.
