Contempt of Court.

Mr W. E. Hackett, solicitor, who was fined £5 by Mr R. \V. Dyer., S.M., on the 9th inst. for contempt of Court, was arrested for not paying the line. The Auckland Law Society intimated that they would pay the fine, and Mr Hackett was released. It is understood that the Law Society are investigating the matter.
