London, July 30. | The Privy Council has allowed the appeal in the case W. P. Crick, exMinister for Lands in New South Wales, v. J. Harnett, Sergeant-at-Arms. over-riding the defendant's demurrer and dismissing the action with costs. In July, 1906, the Assembly adopted a resolution suspending Crick from attendance until he had undergone his trial in connection withjthe land scandals. Crick, refusing to comply, was removed by the Sergeant-at-Arms by order of the Speaker. He then brought an action against the Sergeant-at-Arms for assault and removal from the House.

Defendant pleaded that he was acting under the Standing Orders, and the Full Court gave judgment for the plaintiff on demurrer. Defendant then appealed to the Privy Council, with the above result.
