Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council, under " The Municipal "Corporations Act, ' 1900," "The Eating Act, 1894," and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, to MAKE AND LEVY for the year ending the 31st of March, IQO9, the lollowing WATER RATES in respect to the ordinary supply: — Upon all Lands and Buildings to which Water is supplied whose annual rateable va.ue does not exceed .£l2 10s, a rate of 8s ; exceeds £l2 ios, a rate of 4 per cent, on such annual value. Upon all Lands and Buildings to which Water can be, but is not, supplied, within 100 yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate of one-half the rates above mentioned. Upon all Buildings used as stores or waiehouses, or for any other purposes than as dwelling-houses, a rate of one-half the rates above mentioned. Provided that when the supply to such building is wholly paid for by meter this r.-.te shall NOT be levied. The said rates to be payable in each case in two equal half-yearly instalments, the first upon the Ist day of July, 1995, and the second on the Ist day of January, 1909, at the Hamilton Borough Office.
