o AUCKLAND MARKETS. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At Newmarket on Tuesday there was an average yarding of dairy and store stock and a full supply of beef. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £8; heifers, £3 5s to £5 10s; empty cows, £2 2s to £3 2s 6d; calves, 18s to £1 7s. The beef pens were filled with cattle of excellent quality, some of them being very prime. They showed no improvement in values, however, many being bought for freezing purposes. Oxen sold to 21s, and cows 17s to 19s per lOObls. A draft of 36 steers from Messrs Eeid Brothers, Wairangi, averaged £lO 10s. Steers sold at from £5 7s 6d to £ll 7s 6d; cows, £3 10s to £7 15s. Sheep, yarded in full numbers, sold at improved rates, wethers, from 15s 6d to £1 4s; ewes, 15s 6dto£l; hoggets, 12s 6d to £1 0s 3d; inferior fatted, 7s 6d to 12s. Pigs: Porkers realised 18s 6d to £1 17s; weaners, 10s to 13s 6d; baconers, £2 10s to £3 7s.
