Serious Accident.
A man named Ball had a very serious accident last Thursday while riding from Raglan to Kauroa, where he is working on Mr Belcher's place. About four miles from Raglan he was thrown from his horse on to the road striking a large stone with his head thereby causing a severe fracture of the skull. He was found in an unconscious state a few minutes after the accident and taken to the Harbour View Hotel at Raglan where he now lies in a very critical state. Besides the Raglan doctor a Hamilton doctor has been in attendance and both have pronounced the case almost hopeless. But at the time of writing the man is still alive and in the meantime a nurse has been procured from Hamilton.
