Christmas Fete at Hamilton

In making their arrangements for the International fete at Hamilton at Christmas the committee have by no means overlooked the interests of the children and their amusement will be specially catered for. In addition to the pantomime there will be a special children’s entertainment to be given by children for children. This will consist of songs and dances and concerted pieces of various kinds to be given by a company of 40 to 50 children. These children are being carefully trained in their various parts by two ladies who have special qualification for the work. The entertainment will be altogether outside the ordinary impromptu school entertainment. The children will be appropriately costumed and the pieces suitably mounted and the entertainment will be the result of months of steady training and preparation. As the entertainment will be given both in the afternoon and evening parents from all parts of the district will be able to bring their children to sec this portion of the entertainment which will unquestionably be one of the most successful features in the fete.
