Land continues to change hands at advanced prices. Mr Weeks has sold a portion of his property to Mr W. Grigsby, who intends to erect a commodious boarding-house, Mr Weeks also intends building a new residence which will give the township a more compact appearance. Mr Watts, who has just completed the building of the hall, is at present engaged enlarging Mr Pickett’s store to enable him to coup with the increasing trade. The building trade has every appearance of being brisk here for some time to come. The tennis club is making good pro'gross in forming the courts which arecentrally situated near the railway station, Mr Scholium having very kindly granted the use of his paddock. The telegraph and railway employees are at present engaged felling pine trees alongside the railway at the Hamilton end of the avenue, which will be a great improvement, as being on a double curve they greatly obstructed the view.
