M Nahan said that there was no possible chance of both companies making a s-ucaessof the business and ho felt sure that the whole thing would be failure within 12 months. The Secretary said Hellaby'B complained that they had not been properly approached regarding tho tsalo of their businiss, Mr Sturges said ho had approached that company himself, and they refused to make satisfactory arrangements, and would not part with their re ail business. This offer wasieudat a meeting held in .Hamilton, and had been rejected. The secretary read the report of the directors, which thowed that the total number of shares allotted is H 912, and the cash received amounted to £4035 14i 4d. Bank balances: Auckland £1639 17-, Hamilton £2O/4 0- Bd, cash in hand £2O 2s 3d, balance £3734 0- 4d. '(he prelimioarv expenses of tile company were estimated at £4OO. The report was adopted. It was decided to allow directors -travelling expenses only ior the fist .year. SHARES. The secretary reported that 4156 shares had been allotted, repretenting £20.780.
