AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland. This Day. The question of draiuago was brought under the notice of the City Council last Dieht by a letter from the District Health Officer. It was decided that the Streets Co:nmittee should report on the whole quention of the drainage of the city. The Mayor, in an address to the newly-elected Council, said Beveral important matters would have to be dealt with, including an improved water supply, drainage, public abattoirs, destructor, and other sanitary arrangements.
