FIRE AT PAEROA.
(15? TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION) Paeroa, Last Night. The Jockey Club grandstand was destroyed by fire at 11 o'clock last evening. The origin of the fire is unknown. The tire brigade turned out, but owiog to the absence of water supply, could do little. The totalisator house was saved. The stand was insured in the Royal Insurance Company for £3OO. Francis Hms., lessees of the course, had £SO worth of machinery stored at the back of the stand, and the whole of it was destroyed.
