REGISTRAR OF ELECTORS FINED
(BY TEXKORAPU —PEEXB ASSOCIATION). Auckland, List Nitjht. The Registrar of Electors was fined Is without oasts by Mr Hutchinson, S.M., to-day, for omitting to replnce the name of William Richardson on the electoral roll. Richardson was on the 101 l three years ago, hut left for New Sonth Wales, and the registrar took his name off the roll Richardson came hack just prior to the recent election to conduct the prohibition campaign, and the registrar did not reins state him. The case was defended, the registrar's solicitor maintaining that Richardson's domicile was in ]Sew South Wales ; but the Magistrate held that Richardson's name should have been reinstated ou application.
