The Nkw Zealand Loan aiid Meicantilk AoENCY Co- (Ltd) report. — We had a large nuister of cattle of all ages yarded, the drafting yards having to be used for Beveral lots. There was a targe entry of about 120 head. Competition was brisk throughout the sale for all of the best quality, but for inferior tutted was slack. Best steers from Mr Ross, of Kihikihi, made up to £9 each. A draft of 20 prime s-teers fiom Mr Juo. Alen, of Waingaro, elicted keen competition and sold at from £7 15s to £9'is. B.st cowa und heif ra from A. Main, and others sold from £6 lCs up to £S. All stout stock showed a decided crop in pri;e from the late figures. Best calve- only mad* up to £2, others not so good from £1 2sjto £1 iSs ; yearling steers trom il-J. 15s tr. £3 Si; 18 myrjths aud 2-years up to £3 I2s Od : well-bred 3. year steers from £5 10s to £6 10s ; fresh conditioned cows ana heifers, £3 10s to £4 16s ; (Jaiet heifers in calf, from £3 16s to £4 10s ; Bulls, a number yarded and at! sold at from £4 to £6 10s ; dairy cows and heifer. £5 5s to £0 15s, The eheed pens were filled, there was good competition for best sorts. Fat ewes and wethers made up to 13s 3d ;fat, lambs from 10s|to to 12s Od ; store ewes, 0s 9d to Ss 6d. A number of p:gs were yarded and were sold at better than late rates. Porkers up to £1 4s ; weaners, 7s to 16s, according to size and quality. LONDON MARKET. London', March 4th.—Antwerp wool. Bales ; IS6O bales offered, 640 sold ; at» tendance thin. Prices were too irregular to specify accurately. A fall is estimated of from 5 to 10 centimes compared with the January sales. The proposal to amalgamate the Mount Lyttc had JNorth Mount Lyell Mining Companies in favourably received. Tin, spot, £139 5s ; at three months, £l3O 15s fid ; Lead, £l2 30s. Tallow, 430 casks offered, J 46 sold. Mutton, medium, 31s Od ; other sorts unchanged.
