Pijts : Short of requirements ; porkers, £1 13s, to £2 17s ; weaners, 9s fid '.o 17s. Hides: A medium catalogue was submitted on Tuesday, when there was a steady demand for all classes Ox sold to 7g'l. cow to 4Jd, stags 2;fd, kip 4d, calf 4jd. Sheepskins : There was u good offering, good sheepskins selling up to 3s sd, pelts to Is lid, lambskins to 2s. Tallow : Sold at 25s for prime. Horsehair, Is 4tl per lb ; bones, 4s 6d per cut; tails, Is 7u dozen. Maize : The market is steady at 4s 2d on wharf for wholesale lines. Oats : White are a shade firmer, but duns are tasier in price. Chaff: In short supply. Stocks of old are almost cleared, and new is selling at £4 ex rail for prime samples by the truck load. Potatoes : The market is lifeless, sales being made from £3 10s to £4 ex store. Dairy produce—Butter : No change to report, prices still ranging from Sd to 9-j'i for separator lines ; fuetory, in bulk lOd, rolls 10id. Cheese : There is little doine in cheese, the present high pi ices tending to restrict sales. Late quotations still hold good.
