HAMILTON ASSOCIATION. Slade's v. Kangatiras.

This above fixture was played on Sydney Square on Saturday afternoon, and was won by Slade's by an innings and 26 runs. Rangatiras batted first, and were all disposed of for 34 runs, Boekett (9) and Currie (8) being the highest scorers. M. Gleeson was in fine form with the ball, securing five wickets for 19 runs. Slade's then went to the wickets and compiled 81 runs, Gothorpe making 26 iu a faultless manner and H. Johnsnn 18 in his usual style. Boekett was the most successful bowler for the Rangatiras, bagying four wickets for 26 runs. The Ranaatiras in their second innings failed to make a stand against the bowling of Gleeson and Meachem, the total only reaching 21, Worsley (101 being top score. On Saturday afternoon the members of the Arawa Club journeyed to Franktou to have a friendly game with the newlyformed Franktnn Club. The result was an ea»y v\ in for the Arawas by an innings and 36 runs. The Frankton team can boast of several good players, who with a little more practice would be worth a place in any team in the Waikato. The afternoon was fine, and quite a crowd assembled to witness the match. Arawas hatted first and made 104—Blamires (44), Bradstock (31), and Mahon (10) being the principal contributors. Frankton iu their first innings totalled 31, Bailey (10) being the ouly one to reach double figures. W. Hammond captured four wickets for eight raus and Blamires five for 19. In their second venture Frankton scored 37, Radford (11) being top scorer. Mahon secured five wickets for 13 runs and Piatt two for two.
