RAILWAY COLLISION .
SEVERAL PERSONS INJURED
(BV TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION). Dunedin, This Day. A collision occurred on the Otngo Central Railway last night. The down train to Dunedin was running about two hours late owing to a slip, and when near Hindon collided with the 2.30 train from Dunedin. One of the passengers is he ieved to be seriously injured, the fire mau (Hewitt) had his hip injured ; Sergeant-Major Cardie, drill instructor, and Mrs J. Reid, of Wedderhurn, are slightly out about the head ; Mr Taylor, of Middleinarch, was slightly bruised. Two trucks were overhanging the river held up by the couplings. Had the collision occurred higher up, both trains must have gone into the river, 10 or 50 feet below. There wee 25 passengers in the down train, hut (hero were very few on the up train. One eugine un;l four waggons have horn much damage.l five waggons were derailed.
