WEDDING AT WHATAWHATA.
On Friday morning the first wedding was celebrated in St. liarnalm Church. The contracting parties were Mr Thomas Napier, late of Scotland, and Miss JMscilla Iwersen, the eldest daughter of fth/3 respected portmaster, Mr P. Iwcwn. Tise Rev. H. D. A. Major, M.A officiated. The little church was fairly crowded. The bride, who looked very pretty in a gown of silver grey silk with pink trimmings and lat to match, was given away by her father. Miss Jtolleato'n, of Hamilton, who wore creme Bilk, made a clmrniiiiu bridesmaid. Mr Frank Noble acted as best man. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the residence of the bride's parents. wheie luncheon, was partaken of. and the usual toasts proposed and responded 10. Tim happy couple left by the afternoon train from Rotorua where they will .spend the honeymoon. The bride was A flLo recipient of" a number of beautiful iuid useful presents.
