TIMBER TRADE.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This Day. The timber trade of the colony is remarkably brisk just now. The Kauri Company has a million feet ordered for Wellington and Lyttelton alone. Seven vessels are to be employed in carrying it. During the next few months two million feet of white pine will be sent from this port to Sydney, where the demand is very brisk.
