THE PREMIER'S REMARKS RESENTED.

At a meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board reference was made to the report of the Premier's speech on the second reading of the Industrial Schools Bill, wherein ho blamed the Board and cried shame on it for permitting certain cocduct at the Stoke school to continue. It was unanimously resolved that the Board considers the Premier's remarks unjust aud uncalled for, and considers them unwarrantable, coming from the Premier of the colony. The Chairman (Mr Rout) said their action bad led to the sacrifice of friendships and business, and he resented the Premier's remarks very strongly.
