It uow transpires that the executive paid the passages of 400 mercenaries, £3O was also paid each one at the time of sailing, and £8 10s on landing. (Received October 3, 1.20 a.m.) London, October 2. Only two Gordon Highlanders were killed and 18 wounded by the explosion at Kouiati Poort.
