THE NORTHERN RAILWAYS.
(BY TELEGRAPH—MESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. A PETITION is being very largely signed asking the Railway League to call a public meeting to protest against the unfair and unjust treatment of the North Island by the Government in the allocation of public funds, particularly with reference to the votes for the North Island Trunk and other railways, provided in the Public Works Estimates.
