HIGH RATE OF INTEREST.

In the Supreme Court, in Chambers, Judge Williams made an order for the payment of interest on a loan in a bankrupt estate at the rate of six per cent annum, it appeared that the sum borrowed originally was £3O, and the interest sonant tc be recovered wa* £34 at the end of twelve months. Judge Williams described it as an oppressive bargain.
