CHURCH TROUBLES.
[dnited press association], (by electric telegraph—copyright). (Received October 3, 9.30 a.m.) Sydney, October 3. At the opening address of the Anglican Synod the Primate, referring to Archbishop Eedwood's sermon, said he never thought it necessary in public utterances to denounce the Roman Church or enter in to a controvereial correspondence, but when, on a public occasion, such a sermon as Archbishop Redwood was published, it seemed to say "We do repudiate as libellous this gratuitous insult, and this defamation of Protestant Christianity."
