WRECK OF A SCHOONER.
CREW SAVED WITH DIFFICULTY. (BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Christchurch, Last Night. At 2 a.m. on Saturday the schooner Glencairn, bound from Havelock to Tiaiavu with limber, went ashore on the Niuery-tnile Beach, 16 miles from Little River. All hands got ashore, but with difficulty. The vesse', which was of 60 tons burden, and was owned by Mr Jackson, of Timarn, has broken up, and the beach is strewn with wreckage. Capt. Walchlin is staying in the vicinity of the wreck, and the crew were taken in by Messrs Price Bros. ' Chkistchvkch, This Day. Tlie schooner Gleucairn, which was wrecked on tho Ninety Mile Beach, is valued at £750. She was not insured, and there was no insurance on the cargo of timber, which was valued at £l6O. The after part of the vessel is gone, but there is a large quantity of timber still in the fore part, which is lying at high water mark
