BIRTH RATE IN WELLINGTON.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. Investigation of statictios shows that the births in Wellington for the first nine months of 1886 were actually forty in excess of the number for the same period this year, though the population has very greatly increased.
