TRADE WITH SOUTH AFRICA.
POTATOES WANTED. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This Day. Tiik Captain of a steamer trading to South Africa writes that the best cargo a vessel can take is potatoes, which are fetching £3O a ton. Butter, cheese and bacon command good prices, but all the oats of the world seem to have been dumped into the country, and it does not pay to land them.
