AUCKLAND MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report :—Auckland Wool Stores, September 13th. At Tuesday's sale we had an average catalogue of hides, skins and tal low. Hides: No change in price this week. Stout ox are worth 5d to sjd lb ; medium, to 4gd ; light, 3fd to 4£d ; cow, 3fd to 4d ; kip, 3£d ; calf,, 41 to 5d ; stag, 2|d. Sheepskins :At late rates. Large, 3s 9J to 4s 6d each ; small and medium, 2s 3d to 3s 6d. Tallow : Best rendered, 16s to 17a 6d cwt. Horse hair, Is to Is 4d lb. Cow hair, Btl to lid lb. Tails, Is 9d dozen. Maize : Sydney only offered 2s 2d bushel f.o.b. this week, but in spite of this weakening a fair quantity was shipped The local market consequently weakened. Oats arc firmer in the South, present rates being Is 9d bushel to arrive in a few day 3. Potatoes, £2 5s ton on wharf. Chaff, 35s to 40s at railway.

Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report.—Grain, seeda, horsefeed : Ample quantities for requirements have been brought forward, and a demand has continued for all lines at previous values. We quote :—Maize on wharf, 2s 3d to 2s 3£d bushel ; ex store, 2s 6d to 2s 7d ; feed, Is lOd ; dun oats, 2s ; Tartarian, 2s to 24 3d ; bran, £3 10s ton ; oaten chaff, £1 15s to £2. Horses : An increased number was brought forward, and there was a good demand at last week's rates. Entries for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday were numerous, and competition was good throughout the sale for heavy draughts at from £ls 10s to £3O : medium draught, £l2 to £l7 17s 6.J ; medium to" heavy draught unbrokeu colts aud fillies, from £l9 to £25 ; light harness horses, £4 10s to £l2; hacks, £4 to £lO 15s. Cattle : There was a large number of dairy and store cattle yarded at Newuwket on Tuesday, and an average muster of beef. We quote ;—Ox beef, at from 18s to 20s 1001 b ; cow, 14s to 16s ; fat oxen brought from £6 10s to £9 12s 6d ; cows, £4 5s to £6; dry cows, £llßs to £2l6s; heifers, £1 5s to £1 12s ; two to three-year-o'd ateers, £2 7s 6d to £3 18s ; grown steers, £4 10s, Sheep were well represented at Newmarket on Tuesday and in steady demand throughout the sale. Wethers sold at from 12s 3d to 17s 9d ; ewes, 10s to 14s 9d ; mixed sexes, 10s 9d to 13s 9d ; spring lambs, 10s 9d to 12s 9d. Pigs: Scarce. Porkers sold from £1 5s to £1 14s; weaners, 5a to 9s. Messks Alfred Buckland and Sons' Weekly Report.—At the Haymarket oaten sheaves brought la 6d ; meadow hay, 2s 6d to 2s 9d cwt; straw, 17a to 23s load ; maize, 2s 5d ; feed oats, Is lOd to la lid ; tartar oats, 2s 3d ; wheat, 2s 4d bushel; pressed hay, 2s to 4s ; chaff,. 2a 3d ; bran, 3s 9d ; sharps, 4s; guano, 38 6d ; potato manure, 7s ; bonedust, 6s to 6s 9d cwt; carrots, 20s ton ; maizo on wharf, 2s 2d to 2s 3d bushel. On Friday horse stock yarded and sold in injreased number, and kept their late values. Those with a ton trial were from £l2 10s to £22 ; light harness, £7 to £l4 ; hacks, £2 to £l4; a farm waggon, £25. On Tuesday hides in full number kept last week's values. Ox hides were from 4d to 4|d ; cow hides, 3d to 3Jd ; kip, 3}d to 3ad ; stags, 2|J to 2{d; calf, 3Jd to 4J.1 lb ; horseskins, 3s to 6s each ; tallow, generally 15s to 16*, choice tins 22s 61 ; bones, 3s 5d cwt; fat, ljdlb; fresh sheep pelts, 3s 4d to 4a 9d ; dry pelts, Is 2d to 3s 3d each ; crossbred wool, to 5Jd lb. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows, yarded numerously, were required, and aold freely. Store cattle were also in demand at improved values. Calves, numerous, kept late values. Fat cattle, in average number, generally light weights, were at last week's values —l6s to 19s 1001 b. Steers brought from £6 to £9 15s each ; cows; £3 10s to £6 15s ; 230 sold. Sheep, in average supply, sold irregularly, in some inatances at lower values than last week. Prioes for wethers, 10s 3d to 16a 9d each ; ewes, 8s to 13s; 1200 sold. Spring Jambs, in increased number, brought from 9s 6d to 14s Gd each. Pigs,short of requirement, sold freely Porkers were from 16s to £1 10s each ; weaners, 8s to 12s ; 47 sold.
