Brisbane, September 14

(by telegraph.—press association). Wellington, Last Night.
A number of volunteer officers in Wellington has discussed the question of t|ie udvisableness of offering to raise a detachment in Wellington for service in South Africa, and has decided that there is no necessity to take steps in that direction just at present. The opinion was expressed that if war broke out no difficulty would be found in raising a corps of at lcjst 200 trained men.
