AUCKLAND ELECTORAL ROLLS.
(Blf TELEGRAPH.—PBESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. The Electoral Roll for the City of Auckland has been completed. In 1876 there were 10,088 names on the principal roll, whi'e on the present there are only 15,206 notwithstanding a considerable increase in the population. About 8,000 havfl been struck off owing to the stateof the rolls being in duplicate, triplicate and irregular, Several hundred applications have been rejected or are in suspense pending further enquiries. The first batch of those alleged to be guilty of misdoing has beeu handed over by the registrar to Mr Tole, the Crown Solicitor, and they will come before the court next week. Several hundred persons to whom circulars have bfen sent in the Parnell, Manukau and Eden electorates cannot be found, and they have been returned by the Post Office.
