KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meetina of the KiriUiriroa Road Board was held at the Council Chambers, Hamilton East, yesterday. There were present: Messrs TV. Cliitty (Chairman), Jno- Primrose and K. J. Seddon.
Koab Closing.—The plans, etc., in connection with the recent road closing at Mr I. Coates' farm were signed by the Chairman of the Board and the Chairman of the Waikato County Council, and the road has now been finally closed. The laud has been purchased by Mr Coates at £5 10s per acre. Foreman's Report.—The report of the Foreman of Works was read and approved. In it he said he had cleaned out the drain from Hall's section to Clayton's drain, a distance of 46 chains, at Ngaruawahia, also that Messrs Booth and YVallace had finished their clearing contract on the Ngaruawahia-Taupiri Road in a most satisfactory manner. Nine yards of clay to the chain had been put on. There were about 60 chains yet to do, but he recommended that this work should be left over for the present. In accordance with instructions from the Board, he had cleared the drain leading from the Hukanuißoad through Lusby's section, 14 chains in length, and a great improvement was noticeable already. Works.—The foreman was instructed to have the necessary repairs on the Tauhei road carried out, and to interview Mr John Primrose relative to a culvert on the road leading into Mr Cox's property at Taupiri. Finance.—The Clerk reported that the credit balance at the Bank, after the accounts to date, £55 10s 7d, had been paid, amounted to £B6. Outstanding Rates.—The Clerk also stated that he had secured the rates from all the ratepayers in the district with the exception of 13, and these had been summoned to appear at the next sitting of the Magistrate's Court at Hamilton.
