Believing myself, under, my arrangements with the laic Mr F. A. Whitakcr, to be not only morally. but also legally, the Proprietor of that paper, I have devoted mi) money and best energies to developing the property and securing for The V/aikato Times the position it has attained in the district. I am now informed that the Bank of New Zealand Estates Company {Limited), from whom I leased the building and plant, hold a mortgage from the former Proprietor of the paper, which enables them to sell, not only the building and plant, but also the trade rights. I have therefore ceased to issue The Waihato Times, THE WAI KA TO ARGUS is a newspaper of which I am the absolute Proprietor, and it will advocate the same principles, and be issued and conducted in a l l respects in the same manner as the paper I have hitherto issued ; and I ask the advertisers and subscribers who have heretofore supported me in connection with The Waikato Times to extend a like kindly support to THE WAIKATO ARGUS.
