WELL-VARIED PROGRAMME. Competitors are reminded that entries close on Monday next,' December 27, for the annual gathering of’ the' Wairarapa Caledonian Society, to be held on the Park Oval, Masterton, on Saturday, Ist January, 1938. The following is the programme:—• Piping, B Grade, North Island championship inarches, piping, juvenile, 19 years of age and under. Open dancing, 16 years of age and over. Juvenile dancing, 12 years and under 16 years, and North Island championship reel o’ tulloch for males and females 16 years of age and over. Girls and boys 9 years and under 12, and girls and boys under 9 years of age, are also catered for in the dancing events. Field events. —Amateur cycling and amateur running events are also provided for. In the cycling events a 1-mile championship for registered riders resident between Pahiatua in the north and Featherston and Martinborough in the south, and a 5-mile cycle handicap, entitling the winner to hold the Wairarapa Caledonian Society Perpetual Challenge Cup, valued at 20 guineas, will, also be decided. All competitors are asked to send in their -entries immediately.
