ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
MASTERTON CADET DIVISION. The St. John Ambulance Dominion cadet competitions were held at Wellington last Saturday, approximately 49 teams from all parts of the Dominion competing. The Cadet Superintendent (Mr C. S. McQuade) took a team from the local Cadet Division, and it is pleasing to note that this team was placed seventh in their competition, and were only marks behind the winning team, who were from the Y.M.C.A. Division,, Christchurch. The by the local team is very creditable, and they are deserving of the highest praise, considering the Masterton Cadet Division was only formed in March of this year, and were competing against teams, the majority of which have had three or four years’ experience.
It is hoped to be possible to send at least two teams to these competitions next year, with every confidence in them bringing back the shield to Master! on.
The splendid work which the local ambulance is carrying out can only be sustained by the co-operation of the general public, both morally and financially.
