RAILWAY TRAFFIC.
INCREASES ON BRITISH LINES. (Received Tuesday, 11.15 p.m.) RUGBY, October 5. Railway traffic figures show that passenger journeys made on British railways during the first six months of the year, excluding .season ticket holders, increased, compared with the corresponding period of 1935 by 18,469,678. For freight, the figures relating to 28 weeks show an increase compared with the corresponding period of 1935 of 6,138,509 tons. —(British Official Wireless).
