MASTERTON SALE.

DALGETY & CO., LTD. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale held yesterday as follows: —A small entry of sheep came forward and met with a keen sale from a large attendance. Wo report as follows:—S.M. ewes, r.w. S.D. ram, 26/6; light fat wethers, 28/. F.C.D. COMPANY, LTD. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report:—We held our usual weekly sale yesterday at Masterton when a fair yarding of sheep came forward, which sold with an easy tendency in fats and stores. We report as follows:— Sheep: 5 and 6-year ewes, r.w. S.D., 24/6; line of 146 2,4, 6-tooth, 5-year, and a few 6-year ewes, r.w. S.R., 25/3; fat ewes, 21/ to 24/6; fat wethers, 27/6 to 29/; store ewes, 10/ to 14/6; fat lambs, 20/ to 24/; store lambs, 18/ to 22/. .Cattle: Cattle came forward in larger numbers than usual and although there was only a small bench of buyers the lines offered met with ready competition. Fat "bullocks on account of J. H. Cameron made £9/15/ and fat cows on account of the same vendor, £7/12/6; fat Jersey heifers, £4 to £4 17/; dairy cows close to profit on account. of Mr. W. H. Buick, £5/15/, £6 15/ up to £7/15/; August calvers, £5 15/ to £6/10/; heifers, £4/10/, £5/5/, £6/5/. We report a total clearance of the whole yarding. N.Z. LOAN & MERCANTILE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At our weekly sale yesterday we offered a fair yarding of sheep and a few head of cattle to the usual attendance. Competition was keen on all pens and fat sheep prices held to the recent advance. We quote: —Ewes, r.w. S.D., 24/3, 15/; cull do., 7/; empty ewes, 11/6; 2-tooth wethers, 25/; fat wethers, 30/3; fat ewes, 27/. Springing heifers, £5/10/ to £4/7/6; cow and calf, £3/5/; store pigs, 20/. WRIGHT STEPHENSON & CO., LTD. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report: —We offered a good yarding of shqpp and a few pens of cattle to a large attendance at the Master-, ton sale yesterday. Bidding was Tceen throughout and a total clearance was effected under the hammer at the following prices:— Sheep: Ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 20/, 21/10 to 24/2; fat and forward wethers, 28/ to 28/3; fat and forward ewes, 22/6 to 23/; woolly wether hoggets, to 20/10; b.f. hoggets, to 18/6. Cattle: Forward heifers (dairy sorts), £3/5/ to £4/5/. Pigs: Weaners, 12/, 15/ to 16/.
