DAIRY BOARD.
NEW GOVERNMENT MEMBER. MR. C. MARCHANT APPOINTED. WELLINGTON, July 29. The Minister of Marketing (the Hon. W. Nash) announced to-day that Mr. Claude Marchant, of Stratford, had been appointed the Government member of the newly-constituted Dairy Board. Under the Primary Products Marketing Act the Dairy Board, as previously constituted, goes out of existence on August 1 next, and the newly-consti-tuted board will consist of four representatives of producers and one representative of the Government. Mr. Marchant will hold office for three years. The retiring Government members of the board are Messrs C. P. Agar, of Christchurch, and W. A. lorns, of Martinborough.—(P.A.)
