TWO BIG FEATURES. Two big attractions are included in the programme to be shown again at the State Theatre to-day at 2.15 and 7.45 p-.m. “It Had to Happen,” which co-stars George Raft and Rosalind Russell, is based on a fascinating story 4 by Rupert Hughes. The picture presents the screen’s newest romantic team in a drama of a man who conquered money, power, and position to win the heart of a lovely and alluring woman. The picture follows the rise of Raft from a lowly position to the heights of political power in an Eastern city. He is inspired by the beauty of Rosalind Russell, an heiress whom he once momentarily glimpsed. In the second feature a former farmer boy comes to the screen in “The Farmer in the Dell.” RKO Radio’s picture is based on the novel by Phil Stong, who was reared in the lowa corn belt. Stone, starring in the role of a retired lowa farmer who goes to Hollywood and becomes a movie personality, was born on a farm in Kansas.
