TE WHABAU. ("The Age’ 9 Special.) The first round of the Nimmo Cup matches for men was played by members of the Te Wharau Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. Some good cards were handed in, thhe best being those of N. Kummer, 80, 18, 62, and S. Gray, 82, 19, 63. The ladies played for the Handyside Cup, Miss Lucas, 95,41, 54; Mrs. Foreman, 104, 41, 63, and Mra. Nitz, 108, 45, 63, returning the beet cards. The annual inter-club ifiatch with Wharemouku was played on the latter club’s links, Upper Plain, during the week-end in beautiful weather. The home team showed a decided improvement in form since the visit to Te Wharau and won by 22 games to 7. Next Saturday’s draw for a match, ladies v. men, on handicap is as follows:—N. Kummer v.
