WEDDING.

HALL—HAMILTON. The marriage took place at St. Mark’s Church, Carterton, on Saturday afternoon, of Gladys Loeta, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Hamilton, Strassburg Street, Martinborough, and Jack Jordon, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hall, Park Road, Carterton. The Rev. W. F. Stent performed the ceremony, and Mr. W. G. Thomas presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin cut on slim fitting lines, witji a small pointed train. The bodice had a dainty lace yoke, satin buttons on the shoulders, and the long sleeves were puffed at the wrist and finished with satin buttons. Her veil of ivory tulle (lent for the occasion) was held in place with a halo of orange blossom, a spray of which adorned the bodice. She also wore ivory satin shoe# and silk gloves. Her autumn tinted bouquet was of freezias ranunculi and other flowers. The bridesrpaids, Miss Eileen Hamilton (chief), sister of the bride, Miss Mavis Hall, co»«in of the bridegroom. Miss June Hall, sister of the bridegroom, wore dainty frocks cut alike on classical lines, the two former in celestial blue and the latter in peach blossom pink crepon, shirred at neck and knee, with a row of silver buttons down the back of the bodice. The large puff sleeves were elbowlength. A silver cord girdle, silver coronet and shoes, and blue mittens completed the ensemble., The bouquets were of pink toned camelias and freezias, with maidenhair fern, tied with silver ribbon streamers. Mr. John J. Taucher, Carterton, was best man, and the groomsman was Mr. Ray J. McCann, Waihakeke. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by lan Upritchard. At the reception held in the Band Room, the guests were received by Mrs. T. A. Hamilton, who wore a navy costume with hat to match, assisted by Mrs. A. E. Hall, who wore a black cos-' Lome and hat. Both ladies carried, posies of autumn tints. When Mr. andi Mrs. J. J. Hall left later for the south, the bride was wearing a brown tailored costume, beige and brown hat, and brown accessories. Their future home will be at Kaitoke.
